Anybody know where to buy this air shield that bolts to the lower radiator support? Ran across this pic in my 69 Dodge service manual. Checked my Plymouth manual and it also shows one. Neither my Bee or Road Runner has them.

Sorry...AMD parts exempt from discount. :BangHead:

I have that shield. Looking for the one labeled air shield in my upside down pic.
Is it not the same piece? I followed the bolt hole dotted lines....looks to be what I posted.
Can you show pics of the area on the actual car?

Different name to what is advertised, but looks like the same thing.

I believe the hardware in the picture is incorrect, if it matters. Supposed to be nuts with captured washers, no clips.

I've always called it a rock guard.. but it's the only one that goes down there!

Yes, that is what I have and always called it a gravel gaurd. It looks in the shop manual that there is supposed to be another shield that bolts into the 2 captive nuts, one on each lower corner of the of the radiator support. maybe not though, because I don't ever remember seeing one.

I believe you are correct, as I have the nuts with spin washers.

I see what you're saying Joel.. looks like it bolts to the face of the rad support. Never seen one of those in my life.. will check my parts manual.

As for the hardware shown in my pictures, can't see reaching in through the bumper cut outs to install a captive washer nut. Doesn't make sense on the line.. but a lot of stuff Mopar doesn't make sense.. lol

The original fsm schematic looks like my 67 Belvedere. Mine bolts directly to the lower radiator support and not the bumper brackets.

SO what the hell is on sale t shirts?

Here is where I am looking. On the front lip of the lower radiator support there are 4 holes, and then the nut welded inside each lower corner of the support. I just thought something should go there.

I think that is so you can make your own holes to suit the car....not all cars would line up....that's my guess.

I nearly bought the same thing for my GTX ...and then it sold, so I didn't bother.

Going by Wayne's picture....holes and fixing onto the lower radiator lip may not be necessary....

These are the books I have, both showing the same pic for B-bodies.

Here is my 67 Belvedere rock shield. It bolts onto the lower core support at the weld nuts on the outer edges and uses j nuts at the center
