I have a 64 Fury with a 361/push button torqueflite. My car is a bench seat car with push buttons in the dash. I am converting it to dual exhausts. I have installed the later model "Hi Po" exhaust manifolds from a 69 or 70 model 383 Magnum. I am planning to go with 2-1/2" pipes all the way back. Has anyone on here ordered the complete aluminized system from TTI? Is there any problems with interference with the shift cable? How about running the larger pipes all the way back on an early model? I am trying to decide whether to use a local muffler shop vs ordering the TTI system and doing it myself. ( I really dont like other people working on my car)
Thanks for any experienced info....

Complete 3" TTI Max Wedge on my 62,fits like a glove,no clearance issues anywhere.

I used 2" tube TTI headers and complete TTI exhaust system on my 440 powered '62 Sport Fury. No clearance issues. Everything fit perfectly.

you can go to tti's site and look up what size complete system with what casting# manifolds and it will give you side note #'s as what you will have to do if there's a clearance issue with something. i've installed 3 of the 2 1/2" h pipe systems to manifolds on an a , b and e body and have been pleased with all projects. getting ready to order 2 more for a 67 and 71 b body.

I used the TTI on my '68 Bee. I substituted Flowmaster 40's for the DynoMax mufflers, though. They fit pretty good and the quality is exceptional. I ordered the band-type clamps and instead got the standard u-bolts. I called and couldn't believe how quick I got the right ones. Big plus is the customer service.
I'm real particular about the bends in exhaust system pipes. TTI pipes are perfect in that respect. Consider that with a local shop. Sometimes the local shops just don't have the capability to do the real nice mandrel bends. However, some shops have a lot of pride in doing custom work. If you can find such a shop, it might be worthwhile.

tti exhaust

Installed the 2 1/2" H dual pipes on the 65 Belvedere with factory BB exhaust manifolds and the system fit very well. A lift would have been very helpful but it is possible to install the entire system with the car on the floor but it isn't the ideal way to do it!!!

big daddy-o go with the tti system. it is awesome. heres mine in my 63 max wedge savoy.

Just put the complete TTI 3" system with the TTI 2" headers on the new eng in my 63. Great system that fits great. Ron

Not the best pic but I used the X-pipe 3" system with Dyno=Max Ultra-Flow mufflers. Ron

TTI 2" headers to 3" X-pipe and 3" exhaust to the bumper with Flowmaster 3" 50-Series. Absolutely no problems!

You guys have any plug change issues with these headers? Especially the larger OD ones?

Thanks for all these encouraging replies, guys. I guess my only concern is still the push button shifter cable. The Hi Po exhaust manifold looks like it will angle the driver side pipe right toward the cable. My car has the pushbutton dash shifter, not the console shift, and the cable comes out high on the left side of the firewall and goes down to the tranny. Anybody had this same combination??

there you go!! putting flys in the ointment again!!!!!

with my 2 1/8 stepped headers and super victor heads the passenger side is a biotch and has to be done from the bottom!

My plugs with the 2" TTI headers are easy. The only hard one is on the pass side but even that one is not that hard if you know how to do it. Really not bad at all. Ron
