I found this 66 Chevelle that I might go see on the way to visit my mother for Thanksgiving. Ex-drag car with 468 big block and turbo 400 trans, that has been sitting for 30 years. Not an SS, probably just a Malibu hardtop.

The wheel flares make me think of the Phantasm Cuda. I have no idea what an appropriate price for this thing should be. Guy has land and a lift, two things I wish I had. It’s hard to stop looking at other cars, even though I need to finish working on the one in my garage..

Ton of work, another rolling junk pile.. Something about those flared quarter panels that are appealing to me.. Somebody took the time to really sculpt them in there. Could paint it black and make it a Phantasm Chevelle with huge Cragar S/S wheels in the back. A what if Don Coscarelli was a Chevy guy car..

Looks like the guy had a vision....sort of, but lacks the eye for detail and commitment to finishing.

That is a detailed Chevy. 6 cans of spray paint and get it out there in front of Chevy fans. One sales note I believe in with Chevy's. Sell on the 1st of the month. It's when Chevy guys have the most money.

In my opinion:
Nothing special there, especially those hideous wheel well arches.
If you must sully these hallowed pages with Generic Motors crap, at least choose something
a tad more appealing and tasteful....
I give you "Chevhell", Lucky Costa's Chevelle of similar vintage (note - no mudded-on arches,
yet seriously wide tires):

I like those year GM cars... ‘66-‘67. I think The Chrysler designers picked up a few styling cues from them for the ‘68-‘70 B bodies.

Based on how long it's taken you to put a Borgenson steering box and some brake lines on your current car, it'll be sitting for another 30 years...

Honestly, you should focus on your Mopar. That Chevelle looks like a money pit.

I see them advertised around here for $5-$8000 in that type of condition. Do they sell for that? Who knows.

Buy it cheap and have fun beating the crap out of it. If I ever had a Chevelle it would be that body.
and then flip it....because this IS a Good money car for chevy fans.
include this pic in the ad,its probably what they were going for when they built the car.
ps,what you call a ton of work and rolling junk, back east a lot of people would call that a Great start, esp if you can score it cheap.

I like the old GM ad jingle with my own added twist!
"Nobody sweats the details like GM, and they don't!!!!"
Who in their right mind would own one?

At least it's American made.:usflag:
(not to slight my friends up north in Canada).
I have never willingly bought a foreign car or truck my entire life.
GMC truck, and Mopar car, Mercury outboard.
