Ball joint recall

I have received a recall notice from "The Right Stuff"' recalling the XK781 and 1K783 lower ball joints. I bought a complete rebuild kit for my 63 Belvedere. The recall came in 2 certified letters. I replied back via e-mail to them but haven't heard any thing.Next will be a phone call.All of the parts have been installed

Better to know now...than find out on your own. Lowers aren't that hard to do.

Replace with Moog! Try to locate Domestic product. Right Stuff had two recalls this year. Spindals and Ball Joints.

Though I can't confirm,The part number is the same as Moog without the letter prefix.The may be Moog.
Just wandered if any one else got the recall.

I too got the recall notices. I was just about to install the lowers (literally) when I got the first letter. I was able to source them locally so I could continue my install. I called "The Right Stuff" and they are letting me return the recalled ball joints and giving me a $50 credit per unit. I'm going to use the credit to get a SS brake line kit.

Yes,, I heard back today.I can BUY the replacement joints from them THEN send the recalled back and they will issue a credit. OR buy them local and send the recall joints for a credit. It sounds like they will cover the shipping if I buy from them.They will send a return label with the replacements.

So I had installed mine, then I received letter on 4/22 passenger recalled (XK781), ordered 2 new ones on cc so I could remove the ones installed and swap at the same time. They would let me place the recalled one(s) in box and gt credit.

I was planning to do this work tonight then got 2nd letter arrived today stating the drivers side is now recalled (1K783)
Holy cow!
I will call them in the morning to see what they can do, hoping take both sets back and give me all my $ back!
The 1st pair was part of a kit from Jegs.
