I bought a beautiful 1968 yellow charger in 1985, and raised four kids thru 2001 before I had a brain cramp and sold it. We were building a house, and cash was running out. After the house was done, I realized I could have gotten by. but too late. I still had my other 68 I bought in 1985, but the yellow car was a sweetheart. 318 automatic and factory A/C. It broght us back from Arizona to nebraska, then to Houston, then To Iowa. it hauled all four kids and my wife over many states.
Then, a good friend of mine had aquired his fathers charger in 2010. it had been setting god only knows how long. But he brought it back, got it running perfectly. The car had been in his family 48 years. A couple weeks ago the topic came up to sell, and I was stunned. But, as of yesterday I now have another yellow and black 68 Charger.

it is a factory 383 and four speed with console, 3:91 limited slip rear. original warranty card, fender tag, and build sheet.about half the paint is original, as is the top. the previous owner did a high quality job of replacing the trunk floor, and the rest of the car is as it was when parked many years ago. So I went to look at it again today, and I am still stunned that after 20 years I have another. Life is good.

Every once in a while things go right and you find yourself believing again, glad things worked out for you.

Congrats, looks like a good day.
Should have drove it home:poke:

Damn !!! And a four speed !! Score of the year !!!

Is that a H code 4bbl 383? They're not common with the 4 speed. Nice!

It is even more rare. special ordered 383 2 bbl with four speed, console, tach, manual steering and Brakes! HD suspension with 3:23 on the build sheet.11x3 front brakes as well.
I love it as it is more rare than an R/T. I don't need an R/T, and the car survived all these years because it was not an R/T. I have had R/T's, this car is so much like my first one, just a great riding road car. However the engine has been spruced up a bit, and does not run like a 290 HP engine.Edelbrock carb with factory HP manifolds, as well as a slightly stepped up cam. so it is a very spirited road runner in a charger body!

Congratulations, I love Chargers so this caught my eye! Going to Carlisle with it?

no sorry, I live way to far away to go there. there never seems to be enough time!
great it would be, but I would have to take a semi just to try to buy all the stuff there!
I am a hoarder.

 Congratulations- great score!
I am older, But my older friend had a brand new 68 charger in 68, green on green, and gave me a ride to school, because i hated the bus. I agreed to give him a dollar week for gas, and all the way to school (Junior in High School;) I said to myself: someday I am going to buy a charger! every day I said it. Until I went in the military in 70'.
some of us never grow up apparently,,,,,in 1974 I bought my first charger, a 318 with the three on the tree. since then I have owned so many I can't count. But the two I bought in 85 were the best. Maybe because I am older.
when you are 68 you appreciate them I think, as I might be around only 10-20 more years to enjoy them. Now, I have a yellow charger and a green one, just like I did in 1985-2002. And when it is over, Then a new generation will enjoy them.

I apologize for going on, I don't normally. after all the years,,, here is the other charger I bought the same week as my previous yellow car. around may of 1985
