Yes, I know, this is the B body site but I figured some of you know a guy who might know a guy.....

Anyway I'm looking for a '69 or '70 Chrysler 300 2dr

or a '72 or'73 Dodge Monaco 2dr or possibly a '70 Sport Fury GT 2dr

I'm seeking a driver, not a project and it must have a/c, working or not.

Thanks,
Pete

You could import my buddy's Chrysler 300C Hurst back from New Zealand.....can help with shipping. She's a minter. If you want more info, PM me here.

Pete here is one. I know it's not the years you want and are looking for. But IMHO the '66 model year is the best looking of them all. I had one and my Brother 69a100 has one that is a Family heirloom so to speak. It is a Western car and the price is right. It is a driver but just needs finishing. If ya want I can go take a look and get more pics and info for ya if you are interested. Yes I am a little biased towards the '66 model year 300. It should have been the "M" but Chrysler decided to stop with the '65 model 300. Virgil Exner got it right on this one and man I got to tell ya they cruise so nicely...cr8crshr/Tusk:thumbsup::thumbsup::thumbsup::usflag::usflag::usflag:

Thanks Tuck, that's a sweet ride you had there. I'm gearing more towards a fuselage car and the '66 doesn't quite fit the bill. But thanks for the link and the offer to check it out.

69 2D 318 car down here 4.5K IIRC looks clean.

Been sitting on CL for 2 months started at 6K IIRC.

Let me see if I can find it.

Pete, since you want A/C, the most important thing to look for is manual A/C.

If it has Auto Temp or Auto Temp II (usually referred to ATC and ATCII) RUN, dont walk away. The guys on the C body site have talked about it at length and it is damn near impossible to fix and get it right.

IIRC, it started in 70 or 71. Dont quote me on that though.

Any way to tell from either from under the hood or the temp controls ? Ads are not usually that descriptive.

Easiest way to tell manual A/C, it will have a lever control for the fan speed control and ATC does not. ATC I & II can be made to run, but manual AC is the easiest and cheapest. I have a 70 300 but its a project that has 99% of the hard to find stuff ready for resto. Both of my 300s have manual AC and buckets.

As I'm sure you know 69s are the most commonly found. Then the 70 models, 70s being either fully retsored or like mine not much in between, and 71s being the toughest to find. Lots of searching and patience. Good luck in your hunt.
Sorry for the pic quality, I've since got a new phone, and awaiting opportunity this summer for better pics
