Don’t recall wandering into a Fastrak Lane. Looks like a scam huh? Area Code is Quebec.

Scam!

They've been sending them out in Pennsylvania all year for the PA Turnpike. The Turnpike doesn't use text messaging. Heard the source was in Canada.

I keep getting the USPS can't deliver package because of an incomplete address when I didn't order anything. Aholes.....plus I get all kinds of similar garbage on my land line like that. One of the reasons I keep it is because my cell stays nice and clean from all that crap. Only friends and family have my cell number and a couple of doctor's that I trust.

Same here.

This just started with me recently, that i am going to be automatically billed to my Pay Pal account for $469.00 for an upgrade to a McAfee account on the computers that i have, and use.
And i haven't started any account with McAfee.
All sorts of scams are trying to get $$$$$ out of us.
Everyone, beware.

Gotta be careful with Mcafee, they blur the line between legit business and scam.

IMO a lot of software companies are similar; you think you are buying software and you’re automatically charged annually for renewal. Adobe and Nord VPN got me on this one.

Others (foxit pdf reader) push constant updates that load paid versions by default.

It’s a jungle out there.

So, you drive your car through the toll point and instead of the bill being mailed to your address shown on your vehicle registration they were able to get your cell number.....

Who is gonna believe these scammers?

Any time I see “kindly” in a message like that it screams scam to me. People from India cannot get away from their ingrained culture norms.

I get threats from scammers telling me about a charge on my Amazon account. Sometimes it's a mass message. I don’t pay attention to any of it. I owe few and if they want me, send a few letters, we'll talk about it, maybe.... I got the grandson being held one a few weeks ago. I told them please don't hurt him and I'll send you any amount you want. We talked for awhile and then they got bored going in circles and hung up. I don't have a grandson. That one was funny, in a sad way.

It is sad, because many are falling for it.
Megan Kelly and her family almost got taken in a similar scheme a few months back, it was very sophisticated.

Mine had an accent and was poorly executed. It's a game of odds with them. It is disgustingly sad for people that are just to scared to say no.

The donain name for California FastTrack would end in .ca. Obvious scam.
Yes, an obvious scam. But .ca is the country code domain for Canada. A lot of our local businesses up here have a .ca web address.

I've had the 'incomplete address' scam that Cranky mentioned many times. But I also get a lot of people calling or texting my cell number looking for the person that had that number before I did, over four years ago. Including people trying to make appointments for mental health care, and people trying to call from prison (for the same reason), or others looking for "Alecia".

I have a pretty good 'experience' from scammers and even got one arrested several years ago for check fraud. Do you remember when they were offering someone more money that what asked for than in the ad? Haven't seen that in some time now. One guy sent me a check that was so bad that it would never clear a bank then sent another one that was better but still bad. I got that ahole to send yet another better one after telling him he needed to learn how to send a realistic check LOL. He was another that got nailed. These days I don't have much free time to 'jack' with them but still do from time to time.
I blame the Canadiens.

I crossed the border into the enemy territory of Illinois and have been bombarded by texts from Sunbelt or something that I owe $50. I deleted and blocked but they come back. Oh and I haven't received a bill nor to I plan to pay the Illinois commies.
