Carlisle 2025 Show Discount

I was thinking about registering a car even though i won't be bringing one. To help boost the FBBO members count. Is this something the Event frowns upon.
I don’t think they care once they get the fee. I’ve shuffled cards for many years, registered, bring car, or different vehicle, or none.

They don't care, there are close to 3000 vehicles registered. Put your window sticker on, and drive through the gate with your rental car or whatever.
Just park with the PT Cruisers or Neon's, no one will know.
:rofl::rofl::rofl:

I figure the fee is the most important to the event organizers.

Just registered, with the discount ($59.50) it was the same price of two regular priced event passes ($60.00). Just got to finalize travel arrangements. See everyone at the tent.

Everyone get the email that Gate 5 is permanently closed. Don’t think it will affect us.

Got it….

This is my first time back at Carlisle since 88 and was only there as a spectator looking for parts, this time I’m super excited to be bringing a car and being part of the show! I hear stories of cruising at nights and meet ups is this true? Is it like Brice rd?
And I know they park cars by class is it class and year?

Thanks for any info

Welcome - glad to have you!

If you are bringing a car, when you register, please register it with "FBBO" as your car club - this helps us with the tent!
As far as registration: There are mostly two classes for each year range and type of car: Stock and Modified. For the year and model, they break it up depending on how popular the car is.

The big days are Friday and Saturday. Friday is bigger for hunting parts, Saturday is bigger for checking out cars and the now famous (almost) FBBO luncheon. There is also drag racing at a local track on one of the nights as well as a little impromptu separate car show at a local place across from the fairgrounds. Bottom line: You won't be bored!

I had already registered prior to seeing this post is there a way to go back and add FBBO to my registration ?

No real equivalent to Brice Road, BUT we went to see some locals here on Sunday morning before the Fairgrounds. Neat old back in the day track an easy drive away. Saw a wheels up car like mine beating a Chevy. Always good.

Others have simply called the Carlisle office and they have changed it for them (there is no cost for this). If you are willing too do that, we'd greatly appreciate it!

Tried calling no luck but I did find a link in my email from them that allowed me to change/add info, so that’s all done!

So being a noob where does the FBBO group meet? Special area or is it at your spot?

Thanks for adding FBBO as your club!

Carlisle needs to finalize where they park various years of cars. At that point they will publish a map like the one I included below. Note, this is the 2024 map, not the map for 2025! But hopefully our tent location will be similar or the same. I know this is probably hard to read, but the tent location in 2024 was where the little lighting bolt is pointing near the center of the map.

Thanks for the information again
I didn’t know the map changed every year, I’m registered in modified b body
Guess I’ll just have to wait and see.
So I have another question for the regulars after the show do guys park their cars outside in hotel parking lots? I’m bringing a trailer (paid for a spot at the fairgrounds) I’ve heard the hotel after parties are a show in themselves.

Some of the hotels DO become little mini car shows and parties. I stay on the grounds so I am not a great source of information with respect to the hotels and what goes on. Some guys leave their cars on the show field (often covering them up). I have done that and never had an issue, but I guess you never know. (There could be an issue almost anywhere, including a hotel parking lot...)

Oh I didn’t even think about leaving it there (Duh) gonna have to just see how things go and decide when I’m there. Either way I’m super excited to get the Carlisle experience after being out of this side of the hobby for so many years.

I've attended every year since the first one, done every possible combination with the cars. When I've had alternate transportation to the hotel, I've left the car on the field overnight. Last year parking in my section was tight. I would have been better off leaving the car on the field, but I didn't have transportation back to the fair grounds.

Hotel where I stay always has higher end vehicles (Charger Daytona one year) parked next to me, always figured they would get stolen first. I've been staying there for over 10 years, and never heard of anyone having a problem. The parking lot is a mini show, more chance to meet with the other owners than on the show field.
