Now that I'm almost ready to get my 66 Satellite on the road I need to upgrade my insurance. I'd love to hear your opinions on the best and cheapest insurance. 2013-04-07_11-23-00_565.jpg

Haggerty . $300 for $30k.

Hagerty for me also. Might pay to get quotes from a few companies. Rates depend on you age, drivers in your house, where you live, agreed to value, etc. etc......

Ya i am also in the same position. Time to get insurance for tge the monster. Anybody try heacock insurance they seam to have good rates.

Hagerty here too.300 dollars for 30 k declared value on my 69 bee

Hagerty, make sure you get an agreed $$ value I pay $230 for $25k worth for a car that may be only worth $12-15 in my opinion well ok 100k then lol

I paid $210 with agreed value of $35k from Adam Boca at NMCA

Also check with J.C. Taylor. I have my 68 Road Runner at 50k and my 60 Vette Fuelie at 75k , both for $690

I have insured all my cars over the last 15 years with Jonathan Barlow 800-558- 7772 agreed value very competitive and a real car guy...

90.00 per year with American Collectors for 15k agreed value. You guys are paying way to much....

you have to compare apples to apples. some insurance companies have strict limitations on where and when you can drive. if i want to go get ice cream with my kids and take the RR on a beautiful sunny day, no prob with coverage from haggarty.

J C Taylor for 18 years I check every few years with other companies but they have been the cheapest ....no restrictions other than having an everyday car ..never had an accident just a couple of windshields replaced so I don't know about service after the fact ..hope I never find out

Does not apply to my coverage as they allow me to drive it where and when ever I wish. The only actual restriction is it cannot be driven to work...I am retired anyway...unless for a stop at the shop or heading for a cruise after work. Car must be garaged too. You all are still paying way too much for your collector insurance. I just do not get it at all??? 200.00 plus for a year is way too much. Just an FYI also...I spent a number of years as an Independent Insurance Agent so I do know how to buy and sell Insurance and save some bucks while at it. Haggerty, is one of the most costly there is. And for those that insure their rides with say All State or State Farm and the likes are actually shooting themselves in the foot. Never insure a Classic Ride with those types of Insurers....

I just did an online quote with American Collectors. $327 for $30k agreed value for my 70 RR, also had $100 deductible for comp and collision. Haggerty was only $306 for $30k, with ZERO deductible. Like I said, you have to compare apples to apples. Also depends on what state you're in. I'm in the state of insurance rip-offs, NJ, highest premiums anywhere :(
