I just installed a new rear end in my 65 Coronet. I have upgraded from a 2.94 open to a 3.55 Sure-Grip with new parts from Dr Diff. I went to put the driveshaft in and found that on the new yoke, which is a 29 spline, the saddles for the u-joint are farther apart that the original 10 spline yoke.

I don't care if I have to get a new u-joint, but will that fit my driveshaft? I asked Cass to give me a list of everything I would need for this swap (he sold me the new yoke) but he didn't mention that my original driveshaft wouldn't work.

There are actually 4 different yokes....course and fine, wide and narrow for both. I have a 29 spline small u-joint yoke if you rather do that but the conversion joint will work too.

Thanks for the offer Cranky, but I've already got everything together all that's left is the driveshaft. I'm anxious to get rolling. I found one of the conversion joints locally, so tomorrow I hope to be on the road and try the new gears (with my new engine and new transmission). :D
