Okay, I want to weigh the advice that I trust in, here on this site. I Just removed the 742-323 posi unit out of my donor differential. All looks good Except.... down inside where the spider gears live are little crusty nodules of rust on the faces of some the gears. What I can touch with a screwdriver seems to scrape off and does not appear to be eating into the surface. I cannot see the surfaces of all of the contents , it seems to be scattered around. Should I soak this in some way , with whatever, or rinse it with Brakekleen,... or have it taken apart for rebuilding? Lastly....should I just forget about it and Roll the Dice?? Appreciate advice! Thanks.
