The manual says SAE 90 but O'Reilly's says 75W-90?
Could be because O'Reilly's does not sell straight 90 weight gear oil these days. The 75W-90 should be just fine. Wouldn't take hardly any time to for the oil to warm up to where the 75 weight was a non-player anyway. The manual says SAE 90 but O'Reilly's says 75W-90?
Just plain old 80-90.

You need to talk with an older guy at any Parts Store.....not the spotty-faced teenager playing with his cellphone. The manual says SAE 90 but O'Reilly's says 75W-90?
Will O'Reilly repair the transmission based on their recommendations? .....probably not....they recommend what they sell based on margin. How about 000 (triple 0) a semi-fluid semi-solid used on heavily loaded slow turning open gear trane if you're worried about temperature. The manual says SAE 90 but O'Reilly's says 75W-90?

Sorry all, didn't see the "no"No Suregrip - looked into it, but the pre-97 8 1/4 isn't worth building.
