Replaced the torsion bars in my '72 BBody (larger diameter). I wonder if those I removed/replaced would fit my older A bodies?

Older A bodies? I’d say no to that. But be aware some call a Dart an A body for all years but that is not the case.

I am still learning but, I thought the Barracuda was the only Mopar vehicle that changed body platforms (both A and E) and the Dart, Dart Sport, Dart Swinger and etc were all A bodies?

Also, OP if you haven’t posted this over on FABO you should give it a try. They’re super active and might be able to draw upon a different pool of people to verify the fitment (or point out the incompatibility).

they are too long for that application

1960-61 the dart was a full size car then 1962 mid size then 1963-76 was a compact (a body)
