Do you acknowledge a thumbs up?

I usually nod or point.

I usually also give a thumb to anything older than 80's, and now even some of those.

Mopars get little love in WI., or maybe it's just me. I do know hardcore mopar guys appreciate them.
ok, this is funny,
I was at a "open house " car show last saturday in WI. most of the guys there said, "nice Dodge"! I said "it's a Plymouth":eusa_boohoo:, they said...."000...kkkkkaay"....like so what?

So all Chrysler products are referred to as "Dodges" over there too, huh? It takes a MoPar person to recognize a MoPar I guess. Back in HS I drove a black 69 Charger one year then the next year I got my white 68 RR on the road and everyone thought I painted the Charger! And some even argued with me!! "NO, this is the black car you had last year." :icon_rolleyes: I should put this on my business card. "Educating the general public about late 60's MoPars since 1982."

guy comes over to help me with my boat motor...(long story short) nice guy looks at my '63 in the garage and says "I got a 396 chevelle!"
OH wow! (here it comes)..........
but I had to be nice and listen all about the chebby and how fast it is....... yada yada 20 min later I had to take a piss so bad my back teeth were floating!
.................to be continued,,,,,,,,,

Adding to the Boat Motor......Sonny tell him your name is on a Hemi.............

Pops that's an impressive 1005ci 2150-hp 1550-ftlbs tq "Chemi", Arias Hemi loosely based on Corporate BBC internals/parts/dimensions... Below now that's a Rodeck or JP1 500ci Hemi based on a Chrysler's 426 internals/parts/dimensions...

Bud, the most impressive thing about that motor is the fuel pump. 55 gallons per HOUR?! Damn.

55 gal/MINUTE! That's more than half of what most firefighters would consider a bit much coming out of an 1 3/4" attack line if on it by themselves. LOL

Actually, Sonny, we seem to have a lot of Mopar guys in WI (a lot on this site, too). But I hear you - we're still the minority at car shows. Us and the Ford and AMC guys are always outnumbered by the GMs. Seems like you get up into WI quite a bit - do you ever make it to the Iola show in July?

Damn, my fingers wouldnt even let me type 55 gal/ min. That fuel line must be like 3" lol.

yes...a nod or gesture usually to other muscle cars crossing paths..pedestrians i try to give a meep meep as well.

Ooohhh a Roadrunner....

My wife has gotten so P.O.'ed at folks at the shows we go to, she made a sign for the dash that says " I'm a GTX,NOT a Roadrunner!"

Then there is the guy that ask me "What's the difference between a GTO an a GTX?" I managed to keep a straight face as I told him that the GTO was built by Pontiac and the GTX by Plymouth! His response..."Oh."

And we always wave, thumbs up and /or rev to someone who acknowledges our car! Or when we see one that deserves the same!

I have a 67 Ranchero and as far as the public is concerned the only "car trucks" made were El Caminos. I had people older than me tell me they had El Caminos and look straight at my car and call it a nice El Camino. WTF!!!???

Drove my Coronet today and some young kids were walking by they about broke their necks looking at me. I gave them a big long " blip on the throttle" in second. Got another big thumbs up from a guy in an 80's Dodge truck. I waved and gave him a nod. He followed me for a while. I love it!!

I hear ya there, we had a local car show on Sat and there was only 2 Mopars, a Plymouth Belv. and a Cuda. The rest were GM & Ford.
