Dolly Parton is 77 and looks like she's 35?

"It cost a lot of money to look this cheap"
"I'm a self-made woman...and I have the doctor bills to prove it!"
-Dolly

we'll call her a 2 repaint survivor with minor rust issues and some previous collision repair; or..........

she's a 20 footer!
I've had two like this. Baby Blue got a new trunk lid, door, and quarter panel in the late 70s because of two fender benders. Second repaint in 1985, with minor rust repaired on original left quarter panel. Wife had some procedures to clean up some stuff from trauma in early adulthood, as well. Some of you have seen one or both in person. Camera makes things better. Baby Blue shown below at age 50, Diane shortly before we turned 60.

Dolly has nothing on you guys

I can’t read the write up unless I pay a fee.
That's odd, it works find for me and I'm not paying anything.

Well, here's the first paragraph from the article for you:

As Dolly Parton tells it, her first-ever car accident in October 2013 was minor, but left her bruised and sore enough to seek medical advice at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

It let me read it for free too......just gotta know how to make that advertisement bar to drop out and that was easy.

I never heard of the really bad accident deal, any disfiguring stuff

I thought all of her procedures were voluntary, by choice

I like her but it's time to retire
she looks like & she shows her age (relatively well) just gussied up a bit
lots of makeup...

IMHFO she was a lil' pleasantly plump, she's a tiny lady to begin with
in her days of 9 to 5 movie
she was (IS) still stacked, her attributes haven't changed much
she dresses way more classy & higher dollar outfits,
lots of sequence etc. bling & she deserves it too
Not the MooMoo's loose dresses, bundled at the waste like she used to wear
or lil' shirts & tight *** jeans
her voice is still good,
it's just not the same, not after 60+ years in the Buss.
she's trimmed down a bunch (probably 20#s) in the past 20+ years,
seems to keep it off now too...

In the later 1960s

Not trying to be rude here...
I am not as old as a lot of folks on this board.
35? Really. 35.
Maybe because I am a lot closer to age 35 than some I have a different perspective, but I would say she maybe looks 55, or 60 instead of 77.
Haveing the skin stretched on her face doesn't make her half her age. it just makes her look less wrinkly. She passed the "tuck it and stretch it" age 15 years ago.

Don't get the wrong idea, I listen to the classic country station in my area and like Dolly plenty. Like her enough I wish she would just age gracefully. Her real fans know who she is and what she looked like a few decades back. No need to try to keep that going, she should just be herself and sing when she wants and be Dolly, instead of trying to maintain the past.
Far be it from me to tell her how to spend her money but my opinion she would be a lovely older gal without all the effort, and she still has it when she starts to sing.

How many facelifts has she had? Eh, still like her and she still seems to have her voice.
She still has her voice because she uses the voice she was given, and doesn’t try to work beyond those boundaries. Take David Lee Roth, Paul Stanley or Vince Neil for example, screaming at the top of your range and singing too high cannot be sustained, and 40 years later, their real voice doesn’t cut it, and they can’t do what they did when they were young. Vocalists like Dolly and Del McCoury talk like they sing, in the same voice and range, and don’t strain to achieve an unnatural pitch. Thus, longevity is at their fingertips, or in the tip of their lips at all times.

I like her for her personna - She's a sweet Godly woman, funny and the whole package personality wise as well as her past looks. Today - I'm still ok with her looks from the standpoint Dolly is also somewhat in character and like most of in her game wants to maintain it for as long as she can before having to disappear. I'm sure she's done quite a few nip & tucks over the years which is different than most of her age group that went for the whole nine yards several times - thus she looks better than most of them. I say let Dolly be Dolly and enjoy what you like about her and skip the rest.

Might be thinking of Barbara Manrdel RE the serious accident and reconstructive surgery.

They did a good job, She was still pretty, but she didn't look like she did before.

Gloria Estefan also had a bad accident but I think it was back injuries not facial.

Her personality and persona are just as important as her lovely huge jumbles! She always came across as a real person, versus the fake self serving famous types!

Plastic surgery? Jus doesn't seem to work out so well..

Yep

also Carey Underwood
(Monday or Sunday Night Football show opening singer)
albeit 40+ years younger than Dolly, but a cuter/type of blonde CW/Pop singer too

I think she also had a disfiguring facial deal from an automotive wreck too
I can't tell on TV though
she's supposedly really self-conscience about it too

She looks like death warmed over. I can’t figure out why people just dont grow old gracefully. The reaper doesn’t care how young you look.
