this look familiar to anyone?no tag but stamped IBP 1.exposed shaft is 2" long.tia,kent

Might be 50's dist. on 60's BB's the condenser wire goes over on the vacuum arm side. Could be a SB but shaft looks long. HalifaxHops chimes in.

Thats a BB breaker plate,CC rotation .The condenser will go either way,just depends on how it is in the bracket,also the vacuum advance is on the wrong side for a SB and the wire is on the wrong side of the advance. .

Top SB,middle BB bottom, unmolested BB.

Most likely and IBS-4006 "?" The letter could be A through J. Does it have two small holes on side of body. That would be where a tag was riveted on for the early models. As stated 383. If you take apart and get shaft part number and the 2 Letter part number off bottom of cam stop, could help ID what year/letter number. Picture of IBS-4006G dated 12 S (Dec61)
