EDP Coating

EDP coating isn't really used here in oz well if it is its called something else. So i don't really know anything about it. What prep work do you all do to a panel coated in it, like a new fender?
Do you remove it,scuff it back,paint as is...
Once again your help is truly appreciated.

Inside a quarter panel, fender or door, I just scuff sand it with 80 grit and epoxy prime. If it's on the exterior, I remove it completely. Also be careful, all EDP coating ( as advertised) isn't always actually EDP, but piss poor primer. If it comes off with lacquer thinner, it's gotta go.

I media blast the new stuff with this EDP coating, and remove it, and then apply Epoxy primer.
