just got my 440-505 stroker back from machining, want some advice.

what do you guys think paint it hemi orange or metallic black???

i will be keeping aluminium heads natural colour i have tti headers that are black wrapped with exhaust wrap, has march perf. front polished serpentine kit, polished intake etc.
has custom fibreglass dual quad hemi air cleaner

I dont know why, but for me, ive always liked flat black, no chrome, maybe a little red detailing, but no real flash. I dont care what the engine looks like, because they will only see my tail lights.

Orange....with black good luck seeing or finding leaks if any exist.

back in the day. i built a 383 for my 1st road runner...i painted the block and heads white. believe it or not it looked bad ***!

I've always done gloss black block and heads with chrome valve covers, course with my current aluminum heads I left them. Something my dad always painted his engines so I just continued

I have a Lemon Twist car. I painted my engine body color, used black valve covers and had a custom black decal made for the air cleaner. That, and a little chrome, made for a nice lookin' motor.

Hey benno, what color is the body? I'd go with HEMI orange unless it somehow clashes w the body color.

body is dark metallic blue with white roof.

that yellow looks nice but will look funny in my car suits the yellow car though. White is interesting, be hard to keep clean though??

i am thinking hemi orange it is, thanks for the input.

The only color a Mopar engine should be is Hemi Orange...

I've been debating between a mid-deep red and black. The leaks comment is a good call, never thought about it before. I like the idea of black and polish in my Black 'net, but Red and polish will contrast nice with the black bay. I'm personally not a huge fan of polish with hemi orange, just doesn't work right for me. Hemi orange and black, now that looks good!

My 2c

well this is what it used to look like before the new k member, stroker kit, dual carbs etc etc.
does not look too bad the colour scheme, has a big dual quad hemi intake going on now painted hemi orange with airbrushing on the top.

Have to agree.. nothing like hemi orange to say muscle.. the yellow looks good in there but if you are going generic orange is a universal sign of muscle... isnt it?

First off to those fellers who've posted pics of their stuff.......lookin great yall. Yeller and all. Lots of times loud colors end up suckin hind tit because people don't do it complete.....but that yeller looks awesome.

All that said, "I" prefer simple basic black for the engine with maybe aluminum valve covers and or intake.....but the longer I do this the more toward black I lean.

Orange. ( Why are you putting wrap around TTI headers ?? )

because i bought the ceramic tti headers and after a couple of house moves etc and being put in and out of the car they had some pretty bad scratches on them and where i live i cannot get them recoated. plus also i liked the wrapped header look

i wrapped them in black thermo tec wrap then coated them in the hi temp back silicone paint they look nice and looks like a race engine which is the look i was after.
