Flat tappet lifter idea

I have EDMs but that seems like a good idea to rain oil down on the lobe. Help alot with idle time oiling.

In the 70's Tech School our valve grinding machine also had lifter resurface as part of the machine.
Not sure of brand. Maybe a Sunnen.

Good idea. Proper lifter surface and lifter bore prep are very important. Lobe taper is also very important. If I were to do another cam I would sure check everything out very carefully before assembly.

You can grind your own groove down the lifter body using a Dremel with 0.025" cut off wheel. Been doing it for 30 yrs....
