Fall guy

Heather Thomas…..had a poster of her in a bikini in my room, my dad didn’t mind whatsoever!

That show almost led me to a career choice that would have resulted in a VERY different life.
Get ready to laugh....I considered becoming a Stuntman and was GLUED to this show when it was originally aired. I grew up with this and The Dukes of Hazzard. I wanted to be a stunt driver first and a stuntman in general.
Dad saw the urges I was going through and brought a co-worker home that was 35 or so and had been a Stuntman in Hollywood for a few years before hanging it up.
Dad was a car salesman, so was his co-worker.
"Steve" was just shy of 5'10", about my height but walked with a limp and had a bad shoulder. Dad gave him some money to take me to the roundy round races. The guy walked slow limping, could barely hold a hot dog with his left arm and had a short temper....almost getting us in fights with 2 different groups of guys at the racetrack.
My takeaway......STEVE was broken down at the age of 35, already out of the business but still had a lot of fire left in him despite a broken body.
HARD pass.....
I got into construction and stuck with that.
FAR less glory, NO groupies but now at 57, I am in good shape with no aches, limps or anger issues.

I am sure your body thanks you for choosing a different career path...But you did pretty good falling off the roof.

The 80s had so many good shows!
Modern Kids now days don't know what they are missing! It was awesome to be watching the first episodes of shows like the Dukes of Hazard and the Fall Guy. We were hooked... every week... didn't want to miss the new episode.

That was the one! She was smoking hot!

...and the censors never caught what shape the eagles' wings formed behind its' head....
The show itself was pretty dang thin on plot, but any red-blooded fella loved it nonetheless.

Heather Thomas got a hell of a cocaine habit going about that time and wound up about killing
her career as a result - and they destroyed many of those trucks during filming.
To me, any claim of having the "real one" starts there.

Neither Did I.Lol

Heather Thomas didn't need much of a plot..Would've have loved to seen more of her.Lol

Markie Post. RIP. Fluck cancer.
Yep, she's the reason I liked the show to be honest....
and Night Court after that.....
and anything else she was in.
I was just fixing it...but you beat me to it. She stole the show on Night court.

That was a great show, I thought
I liked Lee Majors's stuff too, maybe because he was married to Farrah
now seeing the clips, it was cheesy
show started in 81 IIRC, I'd have been 22

But it was the 80's everything was cheesy

Heather was smoken' Hot

I've always been a 4x4 guy, 1968-71 Power Wagon pref.
I like that era of early 80's-83'ish GM on that show too
I'm more of a short-bed 4x4 guy myself

Stunt Double - with an 1986
Stacey David has been doing 'a Tribute' build to that truck on his show
Stacey David's Gearz

I liked Lee majors in the million dollar man, I was a bit disappointed in the later specials. Most were reruns before I was old enough to enjoy them.
I would watch pretty much anything on Tv with Farrah in it! Cannon ball run as well. Most the 80s show had their cheesy moments and I don't know that I watched many of the late episodes of the Fall guy as the plots got worse. But, it's been fun reminiscing. There were a lot of great things about the show. Some things you don't forget.
