Someone changed my dads 62 polara front brakes to disk. I want to put on new rotors, bearings. I have no idea what they are from. They measure 11 3/4 Anyone have any ideas ?

Not an expert on early discs, but how many pistons on the caliper? Way more knowledgeable will chime in.

One piston. I didn't think you could get disk brakes on a 62 dodge. To me it looks like a newer set up

In 62, I'm not sure anything built in the U.S. came with disc brakes. What will be the application? Bigger disc brakes mean you can drive it harder usually....but will the tires be up to the job of better brakes. I've seen so many drag racers go with big front brakes and use the skinny front runners and then laugh when they flat spot their tires when they try not to break out when the tires slide across the line doing 100+ mph.

Try 77 aspen volare. Lots of conversion back in the day based on aspen volare.

Studebaker offered front disc in 1962.

I’m not into early discs, but if you take a paper tracing of a disc brake pad you should be able to matchup what you have at parts store. ( c’mon guys, he’s a new guy) I don’t know this old crap either. I still run & love my HD drum brake setup!

Your caliper looks the same as the one I posted. Rotor not sure back looks different but yours could be a factory rotor, mine and ones in pic are after market.

Bring your rotor & pads to your local parts store, have them look up latter 70's mopar to match them up. Hopefully there's someone that knows parts there, not a noodnik like most places nowadays. I used to have a parts guy, Frank, I didn't even have to tell him what car it was, he could identify a part just by looking at it.

I did the disc brake conversion on a 71 ebody many years ago and the 113/4 discs were from a 77 Cordoba.
