Just wondering the easiest way 2 remove my gauges in my 69rr, I see a few screws around the outside of the gauges bt wasn't sure if those were the ones 2 remove them

I believe there are 4-6 screws total holding in the whole guage cluster. 2 you can get to very easily that screw in up under the dash pad shelf. If I recall correctly you need to remove the lower dash pad to get at the bottom 2-4 screws. Disconnect the wiring and speedo cable from the back of the cluster and the whole thing should pull right out.

Hardest. Part is the lower dash pad, it is a pain to get out, just be patient with it.

Good luck

Can you advise on getting that lower dash pad out? I want to replace my bezel.

Thanks

Greg

The lower dash pad is held in by a bunch (approx8-10) speed nuts and, if I recall correctly, 2 screws that are located behind the wiper switch panel. The speed nuts are the real pain to get to, it helps if you have the glove box and ashtray out, but I'm not sure it is required.

I found it helpful to use alternate between a 1/4" drive ratchet and nut driver depending on space constraints. It took me about 2hrs to get mine out with a few breaks to give my back a rest and wipe the blood off my knuckles..

Good luck
