Let me start by saying that I am a member here, but I also have a 1969 427 4 speed Vette that I am working on. My buddy Carl who is a hard core Mopar guy made the decision to take on the lead role (like 99%) on my Corvette restoration. Here is a link to the most recent update on the Corvette progress, and this video contains a Cameo appearance of Carl's 1969 Charger that he restored by himself except for paint (Carl did the body work himself too). I know there are a lot of people on this site that can appreciate cars of other makes and models. Here is the link:

You can see the other Corvette restoration updates on my youtube channel if interested. I believe you can see Carl working on the Vette with his Mopar Hat on, ya gotta love that!!!

Cool Bart. 69 is a good year. I love the cowl door that opens to let the wipers out

Interesting
I had a 1st year 68 427 L89 4 speed, Sliver & black
It had overheating issues the whole time,
I had added a electric fan & it was a bit better...
The 68 BB cars were notorious for that stuff...
69 was a better year by most accounts...

also a 71 454 LS5 4 speed another Silver & Black car

both cars had less than 100k mile on them & were
garage kept Calif. cars their whole life

I didn't do any real restorations on them,
mostly just enjoyed & I drove the **** out of them,
a few mods like headers, better fuel pump, changed rims & tires
lighter wider rims sticky tries, so they'd handle much better,
way better than those 5" tread, skinny *** bias plys,
& the heavy steel Rally wheels they came with...
The 71 had side-pipes added, it was back in the 80's after all....LOL
They were just still used cars back then...
I kept all the old org. stuff, it went to the new owners,
like I usually do...

If I only knew how much the C3 would go up in value,
I'd have rat-holed them away for a couple decades...LOL

C3's were cheap for the most part, except L88's maybe
for the longest time, they've come into their own market now...

Both of them I wish I held onto a bit longer,
they'd both worth a small fortune today...
{No Offense} But; I wasn't really the Corvette crowd type,
too many gold chains, balding middle class men, wearing Rolex's
& wide open silk shirts, showing off chest hairs :poke: for my taste...

I had a 62 Vette 8.50 Pro-Gas drag race car too...

I also had a few Buicks too, my Grandfather & my father
were both Buick men...
Loved the GS's, executives Hot Rods, like the GTX are...

sorry not photos or video, I wish I had photos now,
I wasn't really ever a camera guy back then...

It's always interesting to see what other people working on
Good luck

Sorry to burst your bubble Blade, but all that stuff has been removed from this car and a later model "long" hood is in place. Not planning to put the cowl door back in place any time soon. Although this is a matching numbers car, I am building it to drive, not show, so I am not caring about a perfectly restored car. For me, it is more about safety and reliability than anything else. Back in the day we would say it was more about the "Go" than the "Show".

Those were some nice cars you had there Budnicks! I got a hell of a deal on this car. A friend owned it for the last 13 years, and her and her husband never got around to doing anything with it, so it sat in their garage for all those years. They finally decided that they may want to move, and they did not want to have to move 7 cars, so they made the decision to sell this one. She really wanted to know where the car would be and what would happen to it, so she asked if I was interested. I actually got a look at this car when she first got it all those years ago, and it seemed pretty nice, but I knew one issue was a knock in the engine. Anyhow, I ended up buying the car for what she paid for it 13 years ago so she would know who had it, and what was happening to the car. She also asked for the option to buy it back some day for what she sold for plus anything I put in to it, which I was fine with. I have always wanted a 68 or 69 Super Bee!!! Here are a few pics of past rides:

Is it bad that I fast forward to the charger watched that then stoped watching?
Corvette s are cool if you can't afford a mopar I guess ! But if you have to have one I guess you might as well have the top dog!

It is completely acceptable to FF to the Mopar part of this video, I expected that. The Charger is pretty sweet, right? Did you notice my wife's 2015 Challenger in the driveway? It could be said that I drove a Dodge to work on a Corvette............

That charger is sweet! The corvette is cool too I actually like that style vette I've owned a few vettes. I actually watched the video again after the vette looks good keep up the good work!
