Found the site today and joined up.very interesting.i am doing a 68 charger, not r/t.the tag decodes to a black body with a white vinyl roof.i've never seen this combo so i was wondering if any one has a picture.i don't know whether to go original or black with black vinyl roof.the interior is white with maroon carpet, dash, steering column and upper door trim.thanks.need lots of time to explore this site.

Odd color for sure, I only saw that color combo one other time on a 69 Runner, I will look for a picture of it and post it, I don't really like a white top on a black car, but im an originality freak and it's so rare it would be hard not to do it.

Welcome to our little slice of Heaven;the staff is accommodating and the inmates are well tranquilized:rolling:,er...inebriated:yes:...no...behaved:tongueflap:. Yeah, they're well-behaved:no::no::no:.

Interesting car. Not a V/T fan myself, but yours sounds very unique with the white top. PICS,PICS,PICS!

Thanks you guys,This is a really cool site.Dated myself with the cool, but what the hell..Lots of good information and didn't know there were people with this much info in their heads on mopars.I did take pictures of the car before I started.i will post a few of them when I figure out how.I have had a couple of chargers before but that was before they were worth anything.I had a 69 r/t in 1977 in grade 12.Bought it for 950.00 and sold it for 1100.00 after driving it for a year and thought I did good. Then in 1987 I bought a 69 rt/se with 86,000 original miles from the originalbuyers son for 1600.00.After storing that one for 8 years I sold it for 8600.00.Thought I had done a good job in investing. Now I would gladly give the guy his 8600.00 back for that car.Oh,well whats that saying about hindsight? Looking forward to future correspondence.:

I would have to go with original for this rare combination, I have also seen the one (same color combo) mentioned above that was an a-12 69 roadrunner in a magazine a while back. You see plenty of black on black cars but white on white on black with maroon carpets, very cool indeed I cant wait to see the pics befor and after, lets see it!)

It was an A12 car that I saw that color on ! , .....I saw it in person at Rockingham, N.C. back around 2001. .....I would have never ordered a car in that combination, ......but I admit the color combo was Unforgettable,........I agree it would be hard Not to go back with this combination.

I am going to move over to members projects and restoration area. Will start to add more pictures when I have figured it out more.Only have one up now. Thanks for the welcome.
