Christmas mince pie ..... it's like shortbread with fruit cake mix and a hint of toilet spray.
A local delicacy around Christmas time - mince pies - Christmas fruit mince (like cake mix fruit) and spice with a hint of perfume.
My local bakery makes them specially every year - Cambodian guy, and he's a hard worker. We joke all year that I will buy a dozen every day. He also makes the best Hot Cross bun for Easter - I do buy them a dozen at a time....and they don't last long. Both products are only made in the four weeks leading up to the events.

Ah, sounds tasty. I make mince tarts all the time, but leave them open top so I didn't recognize your example. I just buy the jars of mince filling and fill my own shells.
Lots of people don't like them.....I love 'em.
My elder son has had some fruit mince marinating in the fridge since about August - he and his Nana make tarts a few days before Christmas.
