How many had a Mopar

I sold this '69 Barracuda for probably 10 times less than it would be worth now. B5 blue, blue interior, it was mint.

My current '69 GTX was to replace my first '69 GTX I had to sell in late 80s for a freaking mini van when 4th child in 5 years was born. Yes, I did what I had to do back then. But it haunted me. (Including a recurring dream.) I have an Abody '74 Duster (10 sec index drag car) and a '70 Cuda Pro Street project. But I saw this GTX up near Canadian boarder 3 years ago. And I had to get it. Same F8 green exterior. (interior is different.) Same near stock 440/4-speed/Dana 3.54:1 rear performance package. But very different personalities. My first had short 25" tall and wider 50 rear tires on 14" rim. So was faster thru the gears than this guy. But this guy with taller 28" tire and 15" rim is a highway beast. My first was done at 135 MPH with a decent vibration. This guy is gliding at 135 and still pulling. I shutdown when speedo pegged at 150. And valves sounding some float at about 6200 RPM. (I'm not sure stock speedo or the stock tach is totally true?) But close enough for me. The car spoke to me saying "I want to go faster!" LOL. But not trusting tires to hold that for any real period of time.

As I said. Different personalities. But I like this car as much as my 1st. Maybe more? Quick walk around vid of car. Along with a group pic of the 3 Plymouths.

P.S. That recurring dream has stopped.

One of several... This is me and my triple black 71 Charger. 383 Magnum/Torqueflite car. Pic was taken in 1979. I sold it the next year for $1200. Been regretting it ever since.

That's true. I parted out my high school '66 GTO 4-speed when that poor 389 had enough of my abuse. Near the same time I sold my 2nd car. A '68 Satellite 383 727 for $600. A friend would drive the Satellite and my GTO vs my Satellite had alot of races. The Satellite 727 was more consistent than 4-speed GTO. But all were VERY close.

I miss them days. And wish I had both my 1st and 2nd cars.

My 3rd car was a 63 Savoy 318 2dr Sed in which I placed a 59 413/CI TF. It was a solid car that I had for 10 years, got bored, pulled the engine (still have it), scrapped the trans, and gave the body (less the 3.91 SG) to another mechanic at the dealership I worked at. I kick myself every once and a while for doing that! Had it two toned pale yellow/white and a roof painted like the junior stockers of the time (striped).

My first car. Sold it in '84 when I decided that 3 years of goofing around after HS was enough and went off to college. Wise move, but it haunted me for 25 years. I'm kind of over it now with the cars I currently have, but I'd love to have it back. There aren't many features on any car cooler than a '70 Air Grabber hood.

If I had held on to all of the 23 cars/trucks
I've owned in my lifetime, and sold them
at todays' prices, I could have easily retired
on a 7 digit figure. Strange thing is, not a one
was a Mopar. As my last project I just happened
upon a 1940 Plymouth pickup. Bought it from
a friend for $50.00. It's turned out to be the
most challenging build

I still have my Charger R/T that I bought in 1981. I sold the A12 Super Bee in the picture next to it though. I regret letting that one go. My daughter in the picture is 33 years old now. The red Charger on the other side of the Super Bee once belonged to FBBOs own Richard Cranium. It was 68 Hemi Charger R/T.

I bought a new SuperBee in 1969. I did things with it that a lot of dumb 21-year-olds likely did. Long story; short, after a couple of years, the local police and my insurance company thought I was likely too stupid to keep owning it and were putting the squeeze on me. I ended up selling it for $1000.00 and a year-old Gremlin, which I put in my girlfriend's (now, wife) name, so I could get insurance on it. Wish I had the 'Bee back, not so much the Gremlin.

I got lucky, soon after high school, I got my first brand-new car. Still at my house, along with my future wife. Many tribulations since then, but both are still here.
