The Hunter's Moon has risen. When it broke the Horizen tonite, it was as Orange as a Pumpkin. I couldn't get the picture because of the treeline, but I do not recall it Ever looking quite like that, in my 60+ years. Really miss my 35mm !

Cool, but I would have thought Hunter’s moon would be white like crack.
Probably a good time now to give you notice of the November full moon...The November full Moon, the Full Beaver Moon, will occur on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.

Caught it a couple days ago.Almost full. Taken with my cell phone.

I recently scored a nice set of Nikon 10x50 binoculars at a thrift store.

Great moon to test them out with.

Ours (full moon) hasn't looked orange
but it's been extremely bright, brighter (bigger) than normal
it looked 'brilliant white' to me, last few nights

maybe the orange is from stuff in the sky ?

I'm above all the smog & particulate bs,
'looking thru' down in the valley/flatlanders see

I prefer the darkness of the partial and no-moon nights. When I see that big bright full moon I know what's coming....my dogs (especially the boxer) will be rambunctious pains in the *** all night!
