Wheelwell mouldings came out of attic(thanks to wife that bought off eBay 20+yrs ago). Starting to clean up and wondering what these striations (?) are for at end of mldg? ‘68 Bee (fender side of mldg). Thanks,just curious.

Those look like clamp marks from the forming machine.
Yeah, probably how they got the continuous width piece of metal to "shrink"/bend in two directions at once, like corrugating it a bit?
 
I have seen those shrinking marks on charger and front wheel well trim. However, not all trim had those marks.
