I had to go to the best one last week here in San Antonio, Pick n Pull is BIG, organized, and has LOTS of old MOPARS! I used to be a FWD Mopar guy, had LOTS of turbo's and such 20 yrs ago, and, they had 5 LeBaron convertible's in there, looked 'repairable' and salvageable. Their VINs told they had Turbo II engines in a few of them, and, if you know this motor, this was a stout, Forged crank and Pistons motor, rated 174hp which was very respectable 20 yrs ago, and got 25 mpg all day long.
Then, I found the old truck section, man, heaven! They had all sorts of Gen 1 trucks, just what I was looking for, and a few early Gen 2 trucks too. Found the new rear window gasket, and did some reconnoitering, found about 3 /6 engines, lots of 318s, and lots of Vans. Seeing the Vans got me thinking, I really could use a Cargo Ram Van, circa 1996 (benefiting from the redesign) when I have some bare-metal parts and it's raining outside. Pickups ain't going to cut that mustard! Bottom line, I just LOVE cruising around in a junkyard checking out stuff here and there. Also, the seats from the old G body cars (LeBaron, Daytona) look like standard MOPAR seats, but, very cool, wonder how they'd look in our old B Body cars if redone up properly and blended in color and style wise?
