Is it good stuff for heat and sound barrier. If used do i still need to put down more insulation. Remember living in hell (phoenix)

Never used it personaly, I want to do my whole interior, doors, trunk & roof but it's cost prohibitive for me.
There are companies that make the ceramic additive that can be mixed into any paint and applied by spraying rolling or brushing for a fraction of the cost.
which is the way I'm going....
 
A buddy of mine used a product called KoolCoat in his attic and under an awning on his back porch and swears by it.
These products have actually been around for decades, every refinery/ plant that I've worked at over the years always had a coating's/paint department that utilized that technology.
