Looking for suggestions on a non synthetic oil

I'm looking for a non synthetic high performance motor oil for a 440 engine that I have in my 66 Belvedere any suggestions please

Why not consider a synthetic blend like valvoline max life. It's 15% synthetic and you get the best of both worlds.

I use max life 10w30 and a bottle of Lucas zddp.

I know how you feel . . .

I was not sure if synthetics either, and use Castrol GTX ( high mileage ) in my daily driver truck, got 320,000 miles and running great - the high mileage oil is a blend ( did not know that at first ) . . .

Go with your gut - but I've had great success with the blend . . .

IMO no need for high priced specialty oil in a daily driver that is not raced regularly. Some race oils are not formulated for 2-3000 mile oil changes.
I use Valvolene 10-30 weight ( available anywhere-all the time) with a little bottle of ZDDPlus additive ( $9) at oil change . Engine at full warm temp carries 60+ lb oil pressure with stock oil pump.
Twice, for unknown reason , I have broken the valve rocker shafts. one one each side. The hold down bolts worked loose. Both times I lost all oil pressure. No harm at all to the engine, so it must be very good oil................................MO

A lot of muscle car, flat-tappet cam guys run 15W-40 Diesel Oil such as Rotella which has higher zinc levels and it's inexpensive. If cost is no object then a number of engine builders push Joe Gibbs which has both non-synthetic and synthetic oils formulated for older and high performance engines.

Have several vehicles pushing 200k and old tractors from the fifties on their original engines. I use it in my lawnmowers too.

It's inexpensive and high quality.

I used to use Castro blended on my daily years ago and got 250,000 + miles and still going. I took the engine out and put in my current daily dr. But I've been using these now the grey bottle is for the R/T and the blue bottle I use in the other 3 cars. Two are over 200 thousand miles. When I needed zink I used Lucas additive.

Use Valvoline VR1 40w racing oil. It is a low detergent oil with zinc to save the camshaft on older engines. That is what I run in my 68 426 Hemi
