Man this **** is tough, nothing like the companionship of a dog. That feeling of a friend waiting for you everyday at the door just so excited to see you is irreplaceable.

just saw this....... sorry about Buddy, it's always the worst day....... far outweighed by the years of great days

Bob, I nursed my rottie along like that, it's very difficult..... but that's how you roll

Oh man....so sorry for your loss. Can't think of a human being where I grieved for more than a pet. That sounds cold but it's true. I miss the people that have left life behind but....what can I say. Except for my parents, there has never been a human in my life that was more devoted to me than a pet but even then, I got more love from my pets.

Cranky hit the nail on the head.

Aside from my 3 year old son.
No human in my life has ever been more loyal or loving than any of my dogs. And that's no exaggeration.

If my old lady ever said "it's me or the dogs!"... I'd still have an account on Chewy.com a week later.

So true what Cranky and BeeKool say about dogs. Nothing but unwavering loyalty and love come from those dogs who are treated properly, and yet often times even from those who are not treated properly. God, in His creation, did something special with dogs as we have come to know them.

So sorry to hear Bob, he had the best a dog could hope for.
My condolences

Sorry to hear that Bobtile, it never gets easier to let them go.

Just got home from letting my 14 year old boxer go. His name is Bones, God rest buddy. 10/31/04-12/12/18.

Man! Another loved one gone. :(
So sorry that time came. Beautiful dog.
What has helped me has been to think about and speak or write about the great, unique moments and times shared with my dogs that have passed.
May God bless you through your time of grief and loss.

My sincere condolences to you. I'm sure not looking forward to that again.
