Bendix disc brake master cylinders used on Mopars were painted black up through ‘70 or ‘71. Drum brake MCs were bare metal. Or maybe not always. I have a couple NOS late 60s era Mopar drum brake MCs with their bodies E coated black. Date code year late 66, or 76. The year stamp is 6 so not sure.
Starting in 71 both drum and disc Mopar MCs had some sort of gray phosphate coating on them.
