MCG says the A-855 Passon is in this B Body

Thread bump. I have been on the list for years, and I am going to have mine in about a week.
Anyone have one?? Feedback please! Especially 1/4 mile drag race performance comments would be welcome.
Check the break-in instructions. Need a life span of about 100 years to accomplish.

Thanks Dennis. I will see if I can find them somewhere (moparts maybe) by searching for them since I guess you don't have a link available to help me.

I thought you were BANNED over there???
Hey there. It looks like the Passon crashbox is a better, "Clean sheet" design as compared to a Kiesler trans kit that had to be modified to fit an old chassis.

There are many people who were banned there. They are still there lurking or have lotsa ALI-*** screen names.
Now who would do something like that?? Some with more money than brains go as far buying IP generators to have numerous screen names.

Congrats!! When Jamie did the conversion from auto to 4 speed in my RR, he had a couple of 855's on the bench. They looked beautiful, excellent finish!! I'm sure it will perform well.

I have a 3.54 gear in the Dana 60 on my 18 spline a833 equipped 440+6 V code 70 Roadrunner. I have driven as far as appx. 3 hours each way to car shows, but now I have a car trailer. I DO enjoy putting quite a few miles on my car during the week of Crusin the Coast, but most of that is covered by my 4 speed just fine. If I want to jump on the Interstate to avoid coastal traffic though, the 5 speed will be great for that. I am also going to do some calculations and see where a .70/4:10 will put me RPM-wise in the 1/4 mile in 4th, and at 70 mph in 5th. Planning a 6xxTQ 6xxHP stroker motor in the future too.

Bio,you are right there! I have seen hundreds of pics and numerous vids,I would love to do that show someday:rolleyes:

A friend has an 855 in his 70 'Cuda behind a Hughes built 700 HP Motor. Pretty sure he told me that the break-in is 100 miles for every 100 horsepower. And, not highway. 700 in city driving is a lot. I'll look for a link.

I did not go back to Moparts with a different user name. After the first sentence posted, I would be recognized. It's really just a time-out. Been several years.

You have GOT TO make it. It always runs from the first Saturday in October through the 2nd Sunday with the 2nd Saturday being the biggest day. It's like stepping into a time machine. I'm back in high school with a very cool car!
Let me know if you want to know more about it or if you plan on coming down.

Thanks! Between the installation date and the week of driving in coastal traffic for Cruisin the Coast I should log enough miles easily to be ready to pound on it for the annual November track day with my car club.

I put 7k a year on the Coronet. I doubt 700 of that is stop and go. Unless you count freeway slow downs. Frequent here.

It's 46 miles of coast one way if I don't go as far as Ocean Springs, which would add at least another 10 miles, and around 45 miles from my house to Waveland. I have around 435 horsepower I guess with my current 440 (if that). So 90 miles there and back, plus 3 round trips along the coast along with the miles I anticipate in the meantime will be well within the break in requirements. Thanks again.
