I installed the fuel tank so I could mark the trunk accessfor the fuel pump and sending unit. The tank has a EFI pump inside and addingthe trunk access will make it easy check or remove without dropping the tank.

on cutting out your acess hole did you just hammer out the bead stiffners flat?

In the film, the bad guy in the Charger sweats a bit, then with golved hands...puts on his lap belts. No good. He still dead. Lap belt confined him to burning wreck Good!
DO NOT emulate him!
Install shoulder belt mountings while the car is apart. Best are simple, tight, but retractor MUCH safer than just seat belts. I just put back seat belts in my 63 Sport Fury vert, and will find modern seats with integral shoulder belts...so I can drive fast with confidence! GW McCarthy MD biomechanics expert...a little.

Getting close to owning my next project;-) 45,000 original miles, original paint, original family 69 roadrunner. Off the roads sometime in the mid to late 70s. It was started back up for a week or two and on the roads in the late 80s and then sat in a garage ever since. I’ve known about the car for close to 20 years and got a chance to see it for the first time in person today. Incredible documentation, lots of early 70s pictures and registration throughout the years. Fingers crossed everything comes together, and if so, I will start a preservation thread.
