My interest in Jim Thorpe goes back to my childhood when I saw the Hollywood film about his life. Thorpe a Native American athlete who became possible the first real sports icon.......

Should have done that sooner. I always thought that was bullshit and it wasn't his sports in the Olympics ... didn't someone have to loan or give him some track shoes for pete's sake?

I'm not going comparing this to letting NBA players or USSR etc players in the olympics. To me he shouldn't have been stripped.

I guess because he is so honest and clean that is why no team has picked him up, of course the fact that more people would watch your team and pay to see him $$$$$$$ I guess none of the GMs have a clue about that and besides he WINS which is the most important thing.:icon_eyes::iamwithstupid:
