I don't get a scammer vibe... I get a looking back & seeing who else got screwed vibe... He was searching the shop name probably through Google & this thread came up... How would he know Bruzilla had passed without a fair bit of digging vs just posting to see if he got a response.... Not everyone is a crook... (But there are a lot of them out there)
Exactly

I read that the guy was eventually put in jail and wondered if Bruzilla had something to do with it. That dude really screwed me over, along with many people. Really hoping he got what he had coming. The pic is a screenshot of the yelp review lol IMG_1361.jpeg

What happened with B anyways? His posts didn’t lead me to believe he was old.

IIRC massive coronary episode, & he wasn't that old 50's maybe
he was big & 150+# (maybe 200#s +) overweight

he was a sort of wheeler & dealer
he tried to get stuff in trade or next to nothing, not pay labor
(don't take what I say as he was a bad guy, he really wasn't, he was a Veteran too)
But he was 'too big' to get under the car
or move around like you should to do most the stuff, he couldn't etc.

His wheeling & dealing, it bit him hard several times, his being cheap bartering etc.
(sometimes it works, it rarely did for him it seemed, the time he was on here)
You truly do get what you pay for, most of the time...
We went round & round about it several times...

RIP Bruce

Thank you. That’s really sad.
Regarding this Mike character, though, he had a knack for being convincing. He scammed a LOT of people. If you read my initial post, I was honestly surprised to hear he’s still alive (if indeed he still is). I heard people threaten his life on more than one occasion. He was working on cars owned by drug dealers who came in and paid with wads of $50’s the size of a coke can. Somehow he talked his way out of a lot of dangerous situations. Unfortunately I figured it out too late and was another victim. And for what he use to charge people, I doubt Bru was getting a good deal, even if Mike had actually followed through.
