It's a long story, but I finally won a settlement against GM for my GMC Yukon XL. It had transmission issues they did not want to admit to, so eventually the lemon law helped me out. Here is what I replaced the Yukon with - It's a 2020 Ram 1500 Longhorn that I custom ordered with everything I wanted and nothing I didn't. I think this is a nice upgrade!

I usually am no fan of white, but I liked the two tone and this was the only color combo that looked halfway decent in a two tone. I really like it - it looks even better in person.

I guess white is also cooler in the summer. My next choice was black, and black looks awesome when clean, but man they show dirt and imperfections easily!

Nice, I bought a new 2500 Big Horn in 14 and still smile every time I drive it..
I hope to say the same about this truck in a few years!

I'm still driving the 94 I ordered new.

My usual mode it keep vehicles until they about fall apart - my intent is to keep this for a L O N G time. I hope it ends up being a reliable, good truck. I love the styling and features, so I hopefully this will work well!

Another white one! The white is really growing on me the more I see it. I guess it is a natural reaction to having one (and wanting to like what you have)!

I think exhaust tips have become so popular that Ram is now adding them to the trucks from the factory. Of course, they are not machine gun tips, but look similar without the slots in them. Adding the tips like you did is a nice idea!

How is the mileage on that V10 Mike?
I still run a '98 2500 , 240,000 miles on it with the 360 and it sucks gas like no tomorrow but I could really give a $hit. Strong truck. Get's the job done.
I haven't checked for a while but, when new I got about the same as the 360s. Probably around 10-12 now.

Regarding mileage and trucks. We all know they do not get great mileage - that just comes with the territory. But my 2017 Yukon had the 6.2L with 420 HP and 460 Lb-Ft of torque. Driving back and forth to the Adirondacks and back the damn thing got 23.8 MPG. Amazing!

I got my new Ram with the eTorque mild hybrid Hemi. It is the same Hemi as every other truck, but they add what is basically a huge alternator that can actually provide power back to the driveline. I have hated ANY car with a start/stop system, except for this truck. The starting and stopping is really seamless, and there is no delay like in other cars since the eTorque provide initial movement while the engine starts. I never thought I would say this, but I like that feature so far.

My mileage so far. 9.7 MPG. Yikes! Now, the truck only has 53 miles on it so far and I have been playing around, idling, testing, etc. It will be interesting to see how it does on gas, but I doubt it will be able to achieve what the Yukon did. Time will tell...
 
I had a 2005, 3500 Cummins years ago (non-dually). I bought it with 6,000 miles on it and the sales guy raved about the mileage they got. After about a month I realized I was only getting 10-12 mpg. I called the stealership to complain and they said relax, those things aren't broken in until about 15,000 miles. Sure as hell right around 14,000 I started getting 22-24 fairly easily. If I kept my foot out of it (which was hard to do) I could get 28 mpg. Damn I miss that truck. Sold it to build my shop. I think I like the shop better.

So I drove on about a 2 hour round trip - broke over 100 miles now on the truck! I drove mostly secondary roads, with about 10 minutes of highway each way. Result: 17.2 MPG. Still not particularly good, but it is what it is. On the good side, it rides and drives like a dream, and the huge screen in the center of the dash has some nice features. Still very happy, but hoping the mileage will at least be able to give me within a MPG of advertised capability (which is 17 City, 22 highway, 19 combined).
