Sometimes I have a hard time finding threads I was involved in. Anyway, there was a member recently talking about his under-hood options for a single plane intake that fits maxie sized ports. I suggested the NASCAR max wedge intake, which is as close to the real deal as your gonna find, yet its dual plane. I mentioned that they are very difficult to find..... Sure enough, I stumble across one, and I cant find the original thread....

Anyway, this looks beautiful, but who knows the price or the value;

Anyone know anything about these?? Mine is a revision "B" and is indeed a dual plane, was sold over the counter at dealerships in the early 60's.

I have nothing against that ebay seller but there is a reserve and I'd bet big dollars. MO. You need to decide what's most your willing to pay. Then and bid in small amounts until you reach your limit or above the reserve.

Well, my wife does say I'm crazy...

Comes down to supply and demand.

More intakes out there than guys looking for one because most Max Wedge cars are dual offset carb set ups.

Cool looking intake. Real value 500 - 750. for mint original with all the brackets, IMO.

Keep in mind they didn't do the trick, so the hemi was produced for Nascar and drag applications.

Hemi bathtub intake is worth about 800-1500, depending on the lid included.
It has more of a WOW factor!

the one on ebay is single plane used on 62 and early 63, the good dual plane was introduced in mid june 63, it was known as the short track version, very good manifold.

Since this is not a for sale thread, i can comment. That is a HORRIBLE manifold. It was 50-75 hp down compared to the crossram on the 413, and about the same to the 409 chevy and especially the 421 pontiac. In the first 31 races of the 62 nascar season, plymouth won two, dodge none.
The only value that manifold has is as a collectors item, or for a 62 nascar clone. My opinion only.

Hence the hemi was developed....
