Thank you. Id love a real a12 but A clone is good enough for me. That way I can get into trouble with it and not worry about such a huge investment.

I agree. The numbers cars are silly $ and a clone is what I build now days!! I make them to suit me and drive them with no real worries!! If I want, I can build it exactly like mother mopar did anyway. Not that hard. Just takes work and a few dollars. OK so maybe more than a few.

New family member! My old man is now back in a b body. Just picked up this 69 Coronet 440. 440ci 727. Red interior buckets and consol. Plan is to make a super bee/a12 clone. Stripping the coronet mouldings but staying black. Want a Red stripe and Black vinyl roof. Picked up an original a12 lift off hood as well. Super excited for this project so wanted to share.

To be honest I have no idea why people block out the plates. I just did it because I figure it must be something important if so many people do it .

318 car originally . Stripe doesn’t look bad at all.

I had every intention of turning mine into a Super Bee clone as well but found out they only made 3,136 with 383 engine and mine is all numbers matching so I am inclined to keep it original. I have another one just like yours with a 318 that I have owned for 30 years and they made 34,653 of them so I may do a clone out of it but it needs lots of work and $'s put into it.
