Have looked here for information for years. Thought I would finally join the group. Have a 66 Belvedere drag car that has not been out in years and running a 73 barracuda on the street, enjoy the dodge pickups. And just picked up a 62 dart 2 door sedan that was an ex state trooper car I am researching right now.

Thanks for joining the group. Now it would be nice to see some pics of your Mopars . . .

Welcome (6).jpg

Welcome to FBBO from Ontario. Is your '62 Dart the one from the auction that was shown here? When I saw the picture of the auction car, I wondered if it was an ex-police car. It looked to have some work on the front passenger fender where a "STOP POLICE" lamp might have been mounted. ...plus infamous black/white paint scheme. Police package would include front sway bar and 11" drum brakes. My first Dodge was a 1962 Dart 2-door sedan that had been an Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) cruiser, that I bought in 1967. It had a tired 313 with 3-speed stick, that I quickly replaced with a 383, 4-speed.

Thanks for the welcome. That is the car on the auction, it is a 383 4bbl motor is rusty from hood being up for years, has 999 in the paint code and all jambs are maroon, I believe it was a mn highway patrol car originally then went to a local town and painted black and white.

Welcome from Alabama, that's neat that you picked up a 62. What I call the first muscle cars.
