Hi everyone, my name is Maurice, friends call me Maus (as in Mouse) and since one week I'm the proud owner of a 1974 Dodge Coronet Custom Sedan with a 225 Slant Six engine.
I work as a mechanic at a Caterpillar dealership 15 minutes (by bicycle) from my home town.
10 Years ago I've owned a 1970 Lincoln Continental Mark III for more than 15 years, so I'm a little bit used to old US cars. I usually maintain my cars myself, unless it's something which I don't have the tools or knowledge for.

About the Dodge, it's a car sold in Belgium in 1979 and has been stored since 1992 until recently I bought it. The previous owner had it for a few months and started working on a few things, like a new fuel tank and waterpump, but he needed money and sold me the car. I have the bill and all the paperwork from 1979 with it, so that's pretty nice I think.

There's a few things to do on the Dodge, like new tires and wheel bearings, a fuel and temperature gauge not working, but all in all it's a nice car with not to much rust on it.
I really like the fact that it is mostly in its original shape.

Very nice car Maurice! Appears to have seen lots of love & respect and sounds like you are the right person to carry that forward. I think you and your car are both very lucky to have found each other! Thanks for joining the group and . . .

Welcome to FBBO from Georgia USA.

Very nice condition and looks great with the brown interior.

Welcome from the central coast of Cal. What an interesting combo you have! Since you're a Cat guy, are you going to swap in a 1693, C13D or a C15?

Welcome from Alabama, that's certainly a clean looking Coronet. Hope it's issues are small and it gives you years of enjoyment.
