New to the Classic MOPAR Scene - Advice Needed PLS

Hi guys, i'm from Australia and I'm in the process of importing a 69 RoadRunner 4spd with the 383....

this is my first classic ever, definitely mucked around with cars in the past however i'm no mechanic per se....

just wondering if someone can point me in the right direction for a maintenance guide on the road runners? just the basic stuff required on a regular basis to keep the old girl going strong.

car is going to be a "babied cruiser" i have new cars with warranties that i can thrash
so i guess, all i need is advice on how often to check/change the oil etc, etc....i could take it in to a garage on a regular basis however i'd prefer to do the work myself as its all part of the experience and i have an endless stock of tools at my disposal.

This guy lives across your street ( new Zealand) he use to own a very cool GTX and now a very cool red wagon, oil every 3000 miles, tips for tons here, and at least for me I hate not having a tool when I need it so I pretty much buy all the tools that I can effort, with an old car there is this trifecta if it doesn't start, air, fuel and spark, no codes no PCM , but require a little bit if knowledge about how when and where too look, another guys with more knowledge then me will chime in, btw did you go to the welcome wagon and introduce yourself, is the best way to start here in the forum

First place to start with these cars is a Factory Service Manual. You can find originals as well as reprints online in various places; you can even download one in PDF from:

Changing oil is good...and keeping the air filter clean...always a good starting point. We will need pictures to verify your claims.

Hello from the American Desert!!

Factory Service Manual will have all that info. On oil changes, I usually do 3000 to 4000 miles with good oil made for flat tappet cams. Check the plugs occasionally. Lube the suspension. Etc.

Does anyone know what the wheels are on my car?
Hoping to find a set pf 15x8 and fatter tires for it.

They're factory or factory styled Road wheels. I don't know if anyone makes 15X8 Road wheels but I know they make 15X8 Magnum 500's, which is similar to the Road wheels. The Road wheels have a separate trim ring, the Magnum 500's don't. The area that the trim ring covers on the Road wheels is chrome on the Magnum 500's. Hope this helps.
