Have to tell ya about my newest Mopar find. Just bought a 2001 3500 ram van with 18,100 miles. I've been looking for 2 months to replace the 96 with 206,000 on it. What a pain in the butt tryin to find a CLEAN van. I don't have to tell ya how different people's definition of clean is. After 25 vans I found this one and it is brand new in all aspects. I was afraid I was going to have to buy a Ford. I wouldn't buy a Chevy, to many problems with them at work. Have a HAPPY NEW YEAR and TAKE CARE!! HOWARD

Good luck, but personally, after owning a Dodge Scooby-Doo van, I wouldn't want another. These older 118" Sprinter vans are far superior in every aspect......

I've had 3 prior to this and have had no complaints. Basically maintenance, not bad on gas and for what I do they are perfect. I thought about a sprinter but really couldn't justify cost difference, maintenance and fuel cost. I know they get better mileage but when everything else is factored in(oil changes, parts cost etc.) it wasn't worth it.

I've had 5 Sprinters for work, dating back to 2004 & I have found them to be extremely more roomy & very reliable with no heavy mantainance expenses. With over 175K on each, we never had to replace exhaust, U-joints or front ends lie my old Ford vans. Just change the oil every 10K miles, fuel filters at 50K & replace rotors every other brake change (usually at 70K). Yes, you do pay more up front, but at 22-25 mpg, we have found they start paying back after 2 1/2 years & I've been told they will run 300,000 miles like nothing.
