I always thought it was funny how Force called his in house engines Ford Boss 500. Show me a real Ford engine with the distributer (magnetos) in the same location as a 426 Hemi. And show me a big block Toyota engine. :icon_rolleyes:

It's interesting how NHRA handicapped Chrysler out of Pro Stock competition in the early '70s due to the superiority of the 426 Hemi, but they don't even require a funny car to run an engine design by the same manufacturer as the name on the body.

Was just watching Power Nation this weekend and they are rebuilding a 640 cube ford hemi. Of course it is the one from the original Bigfoot. But they claim it is a true ford Hemi!

yeah Alan Root Femi, allegedly true Ford Block & heads casting #'s but all aftermarket parts used,
it uses & share parts with other makes Chrysler Hemi/RB rods/bearings, a billet crank
downfall is only 10 9/16ths studs holding the heads down & a long exhaust & short intake rocker configuration
so they could get a true Hemispherical combustion chamber, state of the art Ford Monster Truck/Car Crusher engine for 1980ish
