1965 Studebaker Daytona Wagoneer V8 station wagon with retractable rear roof. 723 made. It's just a small wagon with great lines and would look really cool as a resto mod.

Nice! I can see it with a Roadster Shop frame, N-50 rear meats and a HEMI.

Somewhere buried in my world of stuff is my old Matchbox case with one of those in it! I always thought that that open rear end was cool!!!

There are a few studes that at the right time could end up in my garage.

I agree. How cool is that ??? That is a doggone good looking car !!!!!!!
And Studebaker was out of business one year later...
What a shame......

A few 66 Model Larks were made, and that was it for Studebaker. They closed down production in South Bend in December of 63.
Merry Christmas! Production was shifted to Canada for 64 model year and when they ran out of Studebaker engines, they used Chevrolet
engines. I believe Studebaker-Worthington Corporation may still exist. They were the company that marketed STP oil treatment.

a 62 J-series Jeep/Kaiser/Willys 4x4 PU

I could envision one of his too look something like this
cool color, needs to be a tad lower

I think I got this photo from someone here

I always like Corvair's too,
my oldest sister had a Turbo Monza Spider

something like this would be cool
283cid low stance
65 Corvair 283ci V8 Rear Engine #3.jpg

or do the little F-85 Buick alum. V8 to keep it light

this had a rear mounted 283cid

I built one for a buddy, a 66, made it look like a mini Chevelle
67 hood bulges, cut out & grafted in a down sized Chevelle grill
front engine, full 2"x 3"chassis, Vega/Chris Alston frame & roll bar
narrowed 12 bolt & steel/tunnel & tin work,
triangulate 4 bar, coil springs just like the Chevelle's had,
Mustang II front/coils/rack
etc. (that's what he wanted)
with polished slotted mags, BFG p295's out back, p235's up front,
big ol' sway bars
377cid SBC, TH400, it was a freaken' pocket rocket
I wanted to put a 4 speed in it, or a Doug Nash 5 speed
But he said he wanted his wife to be able to drive it, so we put an auto in it...
She drove it a lot too...

I should have built one for myself
(sorry no photos)

Station Wagons, which used to be considered by many to be ugly as grandmas (oops !!!) --- are getting some
Serious second looks now -- and we car enthusiasts
are saying " Hey, that is darn good looking, actually !!! "
I have led my local Easter Day Parade (cancelled this year, OBVIOUSLY) with my 1966 Hot Pink Caddy
(A Mary Kay car !!!), Tossing Candy out the window to the kids !!!!! One year, this 1959 Orange Edsel Station Wagon led the parade --- and I must confess, I was right behind him (they like to have a different car every year...), And I thought his car was Niiiiiiiiiiiice !!!!!!
Hey, tough to say GOOD and HAPPY right now ---
But, everyone Have a GOOD Friday and Happy Easter
And Happy Passover...... Stay safe, all........

Saw the PV 57 build.....have always like the 57 Fords and looked high and low for a nice Ranchero but never found one.

A little over 900 Lark Wagonaire's were built in 66 with the retractable roof, and an unknown number with a solid roof which was a dealer ordered option. The roofs on all of them leaked at the front seal despite the factory changing the seal shape.
