A bit of workmanship went into that...I kinda like it..that is how Dodge should have done the new Charger..
AL

I like it myself. I would have added a 70 (S)R/T butt stripe instead of the strobe thing that's on it. I would drive the wheels off it.

I kind of like it... It's not like an original, but it looks decent... I assume it's on an LX platform or something, I like the retro looking car, better than the actual new car....

:edgy::thinker:hmmmmmmmmmm

Yeah it's definitely no where near the original but I don't mind it. Agree the stripe looks out of place though, a bumblebee stripe would probably look better.

It could be much worse. It could have a big 01 on the door.

Believe me, when I found this picture on Facebook there were plenty of people saying that's "what it needs" and "the only thing missing".. :sFun_doh2:

And yeah, looks to be built of the challenger platform but how they mated the bodies I'm not sure, this picture is the first I've seen of this thing :eusa_think:

this is 2013 , I think its cool. the sad thing is that the design studios could not even come up with a 70's retro car that cool. I think it looks fast

Better look than the 4 door LX Charger they came up with!? I agree, wrong stripes! Not that I hate the look of the LX Charger but it shouldn't be called a Charger! Magnum even worse, 4 doors and a station wagon to boot???

If that would of been the new charger and not been a 4-door, I would buy one. Course, now-a-days, dodge would find a way to screw it up.... Dont get me started on the new dart.. However at least a dart had a 4-door option.

Good lookin and not over done. I would drive it for sure!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yeah for the record I'm not badmouthing this thing at all, I think it's pretty damn cool, just wondering how the hell they did it lol.

Looks like they used the Challenger doors (cores), A-pillars, windshield, and cowl, but the rest is beyond me. Obviously the roofline's been changed and quarters/fenders but they really nailed it with how similar the roofline and quarter glass look to the old one.

In any case I'd rather have this than a new Challenger lol

That's sweet, the only thing I don't like about it and the Challengers is that they look "fat" or taller whatever you want to call it. I saw an awesome Charger a few years ago at the Good Guys Car Show that I'll have to try and find a pic of. Someone wondered what a Charger would look like if it had the wheelbase of a Cuda (pony car look) the work they did was amazing, at first look I knew it was a Charger for sure but something looked really cool and I couldn't tell what it was "that's how good the work was". It later was in a magazine telling what they had done, several inches where removed from the front, rear and the roof was reworked "I'm talking over a foot". Just imagine a Charger the same size as a Cuda it looked tough.

Doesn't float my boat, but still need to give a hat's off for the ingenuity.... Never the less, IMO a real '68 Charger makes that thing look like a freakshow.

right there with you prop.looks like a 68 ate too many fords and chevys and got really bloated!

I know exactly what you mean. I'd still rather have my '69 than any of em. And I saw an article or video about that one you're talking about, pretty crazy ****! Haha

Yep, pretty cool build but nothing will ever be as gorgeous as a 2nd gen imo, I'm with you on that. Can't get better than perfection.

well the retros never are but at least if you are going to do a retro make it invoke the lines of the original.

I would take an original every time but like the mustang retro better than the challenger retro .. and would like the camero retro more if they had went for the 69 body lines a little more .. ie the lines off the wheel arches instead of going for the 68 lines

:icon_weed:They always told me to expect "flashbacks" maybe I'm having one! :icon_weed::
