I have a dual point out of a 383 and coil and hold down bracket I would sell for $50.Can't help with dual point, but I have a single point available.
If your not going for O.E. judging, Rock Auto sells reman single point distributors ranging from about 70 to 100 bucks. I've used the A1 Cardone units before with no issues. They carry 3 different brands for your application. Just pay the core charge (if there is one) so you can hang on to your original. As far as a dual point unit goes, they come up on ebay from time to time. If you want to go the dual point route, maybe source one on the bag, remove the breaker plate, and install it in the reman unit. Also - and this is just my opinion - a single point distributer in a stock or mild street build is good to about 5500 RPM. Good luck!69 RR 383 single point distributor, who is good source to rebuild this distributor or where can I get a OEM dual point?
69 2 wire OE distributor single point on what planet?Don't waste your time on rebuilding if it's single point. Firecore's dizzy's look just like OE with either a brown or black cap, use bearings in place of bushings and cost the same as rebuilding your old one. They're capacitive discharge with only two wires like the OE. May be worth looking into for your issue unless your set on exact concourse parts. I have one on my 383 and the timing mark does not waver one bit under a timing light. They come with/without vacuum advance pot.
