Pulled off my diff cover today to change the oil and found this.. No metal flakes just alot of bubbles almost looked milky. Car had been sitting for an hour before i did it. Is this just old broke down oil?

My trucks gear oil looked just like yours. Changed mine shorty after being driven and the oil was warm . It's mixed with air and if you wait a while it goes away. If it doesn't go away, it might be contaminated with moisture. Plus the absence of metal particles is good.

There’s two C(K)hryslerKids now? Now I’m confused.

Looks rusty in there for sure.

Has it ever been in deep water, flooded street, or backing the boat trailer down the boat launch (my mistake), gets in the breather? Never had my normal gear oil come out milky.

Edit: Just noticed "Haven't driven through creeks .. Lately" or ever?

Just one big happy family around here....

Yeah i used to live 15 min from asphalt down a dirt road that liked to flood. Also i have one of those crappy rubber diff cover plugs.
