Hello everyone!
Name's Ed. Been into Mopars since back in high school. We used to buy and sell 'em for a couple grand if they were nice. My favorites were always the '68 Super Bees. Bench seat and a 4 speed, please.
Belonged to a couple clubs and went to many, many shows back in the 70s and 80s, including my favorite bunch in NeHOA. Parts were scarce, NOS was the buzzword of the day and we weren't afraid to beat the snot out of the cars.
Good Lord, what has happened since...
Sold my last Bee about 10 years ago and sold off the Challenger T/A my late little brother left me this year to a fellow close by who has both a proper love and respect for these cars AND all the resources to restore it properly.
It'll be well cared for and on display at Memory Lane and I get visitation whenever I like.
Gut-wrenching decision nonetheless to sell the car, but I knew I'd never be in a position to do it justice. It needed everything.
So here I am damn near 50 years old and the bug hits me again and I discover the whole dang hobby has gone nuts; can't find a decent '68 Bee for less than a small fortune.
Oy.
I finally came across this '68 GTX, which I bought last week:

A lot of the major work has been done already, leaving me to sort it all out and finish it off. 440 with a Six Pak on it, SERIOUSLY lumpy cam that the Six Pak doesn't like, 4 speed and I'm told a 2.92 sure-grip.
I'll be asking a lot of stupid questions here. Hope you guys won't mind. I remember a lot but I've forgotten even more.
Thanks!
